Looking For That One "Right" Person That is the Ideal Candidate

You spend hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars placing the best ad in the newspaper or online.  Dozens, if not hundreds, of strangers apply and all say they're "the one" for the job.  They sincerely mean it when they say "I'll do whatever it takes", but you know the successful candidate requires more than a sincere desire to try.

After spending hours sorting through resumes, you may spend days conducting interviews.  Many have similar backgrounds, education and experience.  You bring them in for interviews, one by one.   You ask: "which of these jobs did you like best... like the least... why?", "why do you think you would like to work for our company?"  You, and every job interview they've been on in the past 6 months have asked the same questions, and they're prepared with the right answer to tell you what you want to hear.

Now, you have to decide.  You roll the dice.  Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.  When you don't... it can get ugly... and very expensive.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Why Personality Testing?

Background, education and experience are obviously key ingredients in successful hiring, but so is the person's Personality. If you take an aggressive "go-getter" and require them to do a repetitive job, they'll get bored easily and feel confined. Conversely, if you hire a slow, methodical, detailed person for a fast-paced, high energy job, such as many sales positions, they may feel uncomfortable calling on prospects until they have researched every bit of available information about the prospect's company and every key player in the organization. Even though they may have experience in sales and a degree to back it up, it doesn't help you if they don't get the job done. Sometimes, it's just a matter of the "style" that matches the personality. You can probably think of MANY examples in your own life and in your own company!

With our system, Personality Testing is fast, accurate and cost effective. Tests are administered ONLINE from any Internet-capable device including everything from Personal Computers, MacIntosh Computers to Cell Phones like the Blackberry, iPhone or PALM. Once you see for yourself just how accurate and complete this system is, you'll know right away that you Can't Afford NOT to wait another day!

Background of Personality Testing

The concept of four basic personality types dates back to ancient Greece, where Hypocrites labeled the four (4) personality types as "Sanguine", "Phlegmatic", "Melancholy", and "Choleric". Over the centuries, these descriptions have become more refined, but most personality testing systems on the market today still largely describe these four temperaments.

For simplicity, we refer to the four types as "A", "B", "C" and "D". Each has its own strengths and weaknesses as well as various traits that are often exhibited. None of us are ALL one type; in fact, we ALL draw from ALL FOUR types. However, there is usually one, sometimes two, that we draw from most often, and knowing that specific information can be the key to a successful hire or knowing how to manage employees.

If you know which Personality Characteristics and Traits contribute to the SUCCESS of your best employees, and the differences between those and your most difficult employees, you can begin to develop a "Success Profile" - what we call a "BASELINE" - of the "ideal" employee profile in each job and for each geographic region. Hire Success gives you the tools to both identify these key traits as well as develop a "Baseline" from which to compare the personalities of new applicants or even employees being considered for a move or promotion. Even if your company is "downsizing", it can be a valuable tool to identify the people who have the best chance of success, especially when a smaller staff may be expected to do even more.
